Many Artefacts and architectures excavated in and around Lumbini are believed to be over 2000 years old.
The Sacred Pond where Mayadevi bathed before giving birth to Siddartha Gautama has been preserved in Lumbini along with the marker stone inside the Mayadevi Temple which is believed to be the exact spot where Buddha was born.
