Trek along the Madi River Valley before heading up through terraced fields, alpine meadows and rhododendron forests. With over several hundred neat slate-roofed houses huddled on a hillside, this seldom-visited village is the biggest Gurung village in Nepal, where traditions still run strong with shamanism.

Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu
Day 2 In Kathmandu, sightseeing Kathmandu Valley
Day 3 Take the short but spectacular mountain flight to Pokhara (820m)
Day 4 Short drive to the Tibetan Refugee Camp at Hyanja (1,070m) and commence trek to Kharpani (1,375m)
Day 5/6 Continue through lush temperate forests and small settlements to the biggest Gurung village of Siklis (1,980m) with great views of the Annapurnas and Manaslu
Day 7 At Siklis; rest and exploration
Day 8/10 Follow trails through terraced fields and remote villages to the beautiful Begnas Lake (630m)
Day 11 Drive to Kathmandu through the stunningly narrow river valleys
