Day 2 In Kathmandu; explore this legendary Valley of Hindu shrines, Buddhist stupas and bustling bazaars
Day 3/4 Drive to the old Newari trading town of Bandipur (1,030m); rest and explore
Day 5/6 Drive to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara (820m); optional hike to Peace Stupa for stupendous views of Pokhara and the Annapurnas
Day 7 Drive to the historic town of Tansen (1,343m)
Day 8/9 Drive to Lumbini, the Buddha's birthplace and explore the many monasteries Day 10 Scenic drive to Kathmandu; afternoon free
