The sheer remoteness and two high-pass crossing make it one of the most difficult treks
The world's seventh highest mountain at 8,167m/26,795ft, Dhaulagiri rises above some of the wildest country imaginable. The trek takes you through remote wilderness, less-trekked areas, and over the main trails on the Myagdi Valley. The stunning climatic, cultural, geographical and vegetational variety and, sheer scenic grandeur of this region gives you one of the best treks in Nepal. Also, its sheer remoteness and having to cross two of the highest navigable passes in the world also makes it one of the most difficult treks.

Comments
-This is one of the hardest treks in Nepal
-The trek traditionally started from Beni but there is a dirt road to Darbang (unfortunately!); although the drive on this section is far from pleasant, it saves us 2 days of walking
-This trek could be done reverse too
-It is possible to combine this with a 2-day expedition to Thapa Peak (6,012m)
-It is also possible to walk all the way around Dhaulagiri massif instead of flying out from Jomsom, completing the 2nd-half of Ann Circuit route
